Realistic plants generated on render time

One of the features that best distinguishes Lands Studio from other landscape design software is the use of extremely realistic plants without overloading the AutoCAD drawing with geometric information.

While other products are forced to choose between quality rendering (at the expense of hardware and memory requirements) and manageable drawings and plans (at the expense of unrealistic rendered images often based on 2D decals), Lands Studio combines the best of each option.

To achieve this, Lands Studio inserts a schematic representation of the plant in the drawing, along with information on the species. When the user renders a drawing to obtain a photorealistic image, Lands Studio generates in the memory a three dimensional representation of the plant, with thousands of triangles, which replaces the schematic drawing. The result is a high quality image in the drawing, from very little information.

Four simultaneous levels of representation

Another notable advantage of working with Lands are the multiple plant display options.

With Lands Studio, the setting out plan, 2-D plan, 3-D plan and a rendered image are obtained without having to insert and configure each plant four times. Lands will do it automatically.

Spend your time designing and let Lands do the tedious work.

Importing terrain information from Google Earth

Lands makes it possible to obtain the elevation data of the terrain surface visible on screen directly from the Google Earth window.

Lands performs a scan of the elevation with respects to sea level and generates a representation based on section curves. These curves can be used in the Lands terrain modeling functions so that a true surface can be generated using Google Earth, and cuts and fills, and other earthworks can be carried out using Lands.

Lands distance learning courses via Internet

The internet modules for the Lands Design/Studio distance learning courses can be customized. Learn the basics of the program through hands-on exercises distributed in three modules, which the user can take as required.

Objectives
To learn the structure of the program interface and menus, basic 2-D and 3-D drawings with zoning, layout planting and setting out. Upon finishing the course, you will be able to produce 3-D landscape projects. If you have Lands Studio, module 3 will teach you how to produce projects using photorealistic images for presentations to the client.

Aimed at: The course is aimed at landscape designers.

Requirements
Basic knowledge of AutoCAD. In case you don't meet this requirement, we offer introductory AutoCAD courses for lanscaping professionals. To ask for a custom training, please contact us to fix a date with the instructor.

Duration: A maximum of 6 hours distributed in three sessions.
Business hours: To be agreed between the student and the instructor.
